Here is a picture of the dining/family room before we worked on it.
These middle 2 pictures are backwards, but here is what it looked like after we got all the layers of wallpaper off and everything. This picture is after we cleaned the room. There was 6 inches of wallpaper covering the floor. And that hole in the wall at the other end of the room we think was one of the windows of the original house before they added on the back little room. That was a lovely little surprize we found when we were tearing off wall paper and realized that they had wallpapered directly onto a piece of sheetrock that they had put over the old window. So as we were tearing off the wallpaper we were tearing apart the sheetrock as well. That needed to be replaced.
Here's Cody, Jess, and Isaac helping tear off the last layers of wallpaper. We knew wallpaper removal was kind of a pain, but we didn't realize that we had 4-5 layers of it in most rooms.

Here is what the room looks like now. We obviously aren't finished, we have some trim work to do and the floors need refinished, but it feels much more like home to us. We love it!
